Thawed-out and fired up – Canada’s heavy rock indie secret weapon PUDDY have returned to active status after a long hibernation.
Ahead of the highly anticipated Summer 2024 release of new album DEMAGOGO, PUDDY – formed in Timmins, ON – will finally return to their original stomping ground. The first of two shows will see the band headline at the Victory Tavern on April 20th followed by a performance at Rock on the River on July 20th.
Co-Produced by Rizzo & Andy Curran (Envy of None) and mixed by Vic Florencia (Danko Jones), DEMAGOGO’s collection of big bashy tracks will feature PUDDY’s signature infectious fuzzy grooves, punk rock soul and giant melodic hooks – in a tighter, more explosive package than ever.
The first two new singles and videos in over a decade, “What Do You Want?” and “It Has a Name”, emanate raw power and unfiltered honesty, representing the essence of hard rock from the great white north. They serve as ideal primers to their forthcoming single “Under Your Tongue”, all of which are sure to give hard rock fans a powerfully fresh and potently authentic experience that will no doubt occupy full-time positions on playlists, turntables and cassette decks for years to come.
The accompanying surrealist cinematic videos are produced in-house and directed by Rizzo himself and are gorgeous and technically flawless pairings for their respective songs. When viewed in sequence, the treatments establish a rock-solid, cohesive aesthetic and vibe that complete the undeniable package of the band’s long awaited return.
