LOCKDOWN LOCKS
Shop Local | Lockdown Locks
The phrase “unprecedented times” has been thrown around so often lately it’s almost lost it’s
meaning. However, to our local business community it is something they are still facing on a
day to day basis.
There’s restrictions on potential customers entering the stores, new training protocols and
costs associated with staying safe, and some entire sectors have been deemed “unessential”.
It’s all made this a very hard time to be a business owner.
TFEC has thought long and hard about what we could do to help, especially considering many of
our local businesses have been major sponsors and supporters of the Rock on the River Festival
over the past 5 years. After much deliberation and reflection, we’ve landed on something we
think can help. We can’t end a pandemic, but we can try to make Timmins the mullet capital of
Canada.
Bear with us here.
#TFECsLockdownLocks is a new campaign to show support for our business community, using
something that most of us already have…Crazy hair! Go bald for a business, rock your bed head
out in public and snap a picture! Do a #MulletMarch, #MohawkMarch or #RaginRoots in
support of a business owner in your circle!
Taking part in #TFECsLockdownLocks will give you a chance at winning some solid Rock On The
River prize packs!
The point we’re really trying to make is to SHOP LOCAL. Any businesses that want to take part
in #TFECsLockdownLocks will be given a tracking sheet to ensure your loyal customers and
people that have helped your business out will be entered into the draw.
More information is available at TimminsFestivals.com. Let’s see those “Lockdown Locks” and
help out our business community!
